The Trove People and Organisations dataset is based on the Australian Name Authority File, a unique resource maintained since 1981 by Australian libraries which contribute their holdings to [Libraries Australia](http://librariesaustralia.nla.gov.au). The Trove People and Organisations zone plays an important role in exposing records about parties and linking to them in libraries and other collecting institutions. The data also provides links to resources by and about a party and relationships between parties. To further enrich the service the Library is collaborating with organisations that already make available information about people and organisations in their specific domains and linking to them. The API to this dataset provides access to 885,000 identities. data.gov.au https://data.gov.au/dataset/b247e1c0-608d-495d-8583-8bc9de63c4ee Not specified   peopleaustralia-os-description.xml http://www.nla.gov.au/apps/srw/peopleaustralia-os-description.xml XML   2013-05-12T10:23:28.817492 2013-05-12 1262.0 notspecified

It enabled these organisations to digitise and web publish descriptions (and often images) of their collections and information resources. The primary output was the eHeritage website http://eheritage.statelibrary.tas.gov.au/ at which 30 organisations regularly added descriptions and images. The data was presented at the website under 4 key fields: * Title * Objects * Subjects * Institution This is represented in the structure of the open data sets. The website was archived in 2013. By then 26,317 rows of raw data had been created that describe items held in cultural collections across Tasmania. Another 99,704 records were created that relate specifically to the location of gravesites across Tasmania along with transcriptions of the details recorded on tombstones at the sites and often an image as well. data.gov.au https://data.gov.au/dataset/824306c0-ace3-482f-9476-f7ce9abd89de 2001 2012 eHeritage Data (XML) https://data.gov.au/data/dataset/824306c0-ace3-482f-9476-f7ce9abd89de/resource/6eb7c85f-6499-42e8-bd13-3bb2bbf45705/download/eheritage-data.xml XML   2017-07-17T11:02:13.515940 2017-07-17   Creative Commons Attribution 2.5 Australia

1158 PROV Victorian Government Agencies and Collections metadata Public Records Office Victoria   2014-12-22T15:32:52.262244 2015-11-25T23:25:52.877718 Public Record Office Victoria has compiled a short administrative history for every government agency whose records we hold, as well as a history of every recordkeeping 'series' (or collection) that has been transferrred to us. This information helps researchers identify who might have collected relevant information and how that information is compiled. This data has been made available through an OAI-PMH interface to Research Data Australia. Currently details exist for roughly 2,500 agencies and 14,500 series. Use the OAI protocol to retrieve data: e.g. http://metadata.prov.vic.gov.au/oai/query?verb=ListRecords&metadataPrefix=rif data.vic.gov.au https://www.data.vic.gov.au/data/dataset/78c5dfbc-3f92-45a7-86f7-2c44b3d760cf     Victorian Government Agencies and Collections metadata http://metadata.prov.vic.gov.au/oai/query?verb=ListRecords&metadataPrefix=rif XML   2014-12-22T13:37:54.589631     Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International
